Tennis Facilities Rules
Outdoor Courts
Advance reservations up to 7 days can be arranged by calling the Tennis Professional Shop. Cancellations of reservations must be phoned to the Professional Shop no later than 3 hours before court time. A non-cancelled court reservation will incur a charge.
Rules for Advance Sign-up Five (5) courts are available for advance reservations during normal schedules.
Adults (18 years) may reserve courts except when reserved for team matches or other Tennis Committee authorized events. A junior player (17 years and younger) will not be permitted to make advance reservations on weekends, holidays, or after 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Limitations On Advance Reservations
- A member may participate in one advance sign-up for a given day, whether in that member's name, or another member's name.
- A family is allowed two (2) advance sign-ups for a day, provided that no member is playing more than once.
- Everyone with an advance reservation must sign in at the Professional Shop prior to playing. This includes all playing participants.
- Playing time for advance sign-ups will be limited to one and a half (1 1/2) hours for singles and doubles. Authorized tournament matches are exempted and can be reserved for two (2) hours and ill not be subject to bumping in an extended match.
- Priority Court - From Memorial Day to Labor Day, one court will be specifically designated as an adult priority court at all times during weekdays. This is to provide at least one court for working adults on vacation, etc. Juniors cannot sign-up in advance but can use this court if no adult players are waiting to play or when playing with an adult member.
Random Play
Players are entitled to the courts in the order of their arrival. Time of arrival will be the time two players who intend to play together are present at the courts, ready to play, and have signed in. Random play on the four (4) advanced sign-up courts will be limited to one and a half (1-1/2) hours for singles and doubles (subject, of course, to the next reservation).
Junior Random Play
In addition to being able to sign-up in advance on the four (4) non-adult priority courts during weekdays (up until 5 p.m.), juniors can play at random on any other open court as long as there are no adults waiting to play. Juniors must sign-up in the Professional Shop even when playing at random on an open court. This will enable more juniors to play due to the limit of one (l) hour of singles or one and a half (1-1/2) hours of doubles, and will provide some control of juniors bumping other juniors.
Teaching Professional Court
One court will be designated as a Teaching Professional Court with reservations and usage only on a limited-as-available basis.
Indoor Courts
- Players can make reservations one (1) week only in advance.
- Indoor courts can be reserved for Team Matches or for special events.
- One (1) court will be reserved for lessons from 11 a.m. until closing.
- No cost for playing indoors in the summer. Juniors can be bumped by adults for these courts when it is raining.
