Fitness & Wellness
Welcome to River Bend Golf & Country Club's Fitness and Wellness Program. We are excited to offer this new amenity to our membership! With a balance of classes, cardio equipment, and strength equipment, we have created an opportunity to be able to workout at the same place that you swim, play tennis, and golf. When you are done with your workout, you can walk right next door to have lunch with your friends!
Members have access to the Fitness Center and complimentary usage of the individual cardio and strength equipment. We also offer a variety of programs such as Personal and Group Training, Group Fitness Classes, Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Screening, Kids Fitness Seasonal Camps, and Massage Therapy.
Classes
We offer some of today's most popular formats, including Zumba, Cross Training, Boot Camp, Pilates-mat, Yoga, Muscle Sculpt, Muscle Blast, Senior Fitness, Core & More, and stretching classes. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, we have classes to help you feel better, become stronger, more flexible and even more fit!
Cardio Equipment
River Bend has the newest line of cardio equipment offered by Matrix Fitness including treadmills, ellipticals, hybrid bikes, recumbent bikes, and a rowing machine. Every piece of cardio equipment has a 15” flat-screen TV embedded into the console, offering you the ability to control your own channel and volume. You can even direct-connect your own iPod or iPhone to watch movies or videos right on your personal screen!
Strength Equipment
Whether you like to workout with free weights, machines, or functional cables, we have a balance of each to accommodate everyone. River Bend offers a line of selectorized Matrix Fitness strength training machines, a functional trainer, Smith Machine, and a line of dumbbells and utility benches. You will be able to effectively train your core, upper, and lower body to help improve sport performance or to simply get in better shape!
Massage Therapy
There are many reasons to consider massage therapy. Do you have a persistent muscle injury or tendinitis that is keeping you from golf or tennis? Do you need help recovering from training for a marathon or triathlon? Is stress from work compromising your well-being? Maybe you have a new shoulder or back pain to go with that new baby in your life? Have you recently finished your physical therapy from surgery or an injury, but don’t have your full range of motion back? In all of these cases, a therapeutic massage can get you back on track.
Sport-Specific Programs
Whether you are a golfer, tennis player, swimmer, competitive or recreational athlete, we will have sport-specific training programs tailored to meet your needs. These programs will be offered on an individualized 1:1 training basis, as well as seasonal group training options. If you are working with one of our golf or tennis pros, our trainers will consult with your pro to make sure there is cohesion between your instruction and your fitness program.
Medical Advisory Board
Rest assured that the programs and protocols used by our personal training staff have been screened and approved by our medical advisory board. It is our goal to implement safe and effective exercise programs for all of our members, regardless of your particular fitness and wellness goals. Our advisory board consists of medical professionals in the following areas: Cardiology, Orthopedics, Internal medicine, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training to name a few.
