Thomas S. Lipscomb

Greens Superintendent

Tom graduated from The University of Maryland in 1984, specializing in Turfgrass and Golf Course Management. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland and has spent twenty-seven years maintaining golf courses in this region. Tom is recognized throughout the region for his ability to bring courses back from the dead. He has spent time at Westwood C.C., Loudon Golf & C.C., Norbeck C.C., TPC at Avenel and also built, grew-in and developed the P.B. Dye Club before joining River Bend. Tom is also a past President of The Greater Washington Golf Course Superintendents Association.

Tom very much enjoys his many hours spent on the golf course and thrives on the many challenges this very difficult region puts in front of him.
