John F. Madden, II

PGA Head Professional

John Madden, PGA Head Golf Professional at River Bend Golf & Country Club, is a graduate of Ohio University, where he received a BS in Meteorology and played on the golf team. John has been working in the golf industry since graduating from college. He started at Kenwood Country Club, his home club growing up, as a bag room attendant. He began working at Westwood Country Club in Vienna in 1990. In 1996, while at Westwood, John was selected as the Middle Atlantic Section's Assistant PGA Professional of the Year. In 1997 John went out for the PGA Tour and was a member of the Hooter's Tour.

John joined the staff at River Bend in 1998, and has served as the Head PGA Golf Professional ever since. He enjoys sharing his love of the game with others on a competitive level, as well as teaching the game. He especially likes teaching juniors and watching their golf skills develop into a lifelong activity.
